Story Behind the Art:
Indian artisan Sandeep Malhotra: 'My family has worked with textiles since 1968. In 1991, while I was still studying, I began to get involved in my family's endeavor. After graduating, I partnered with my family in our business. My father looks after the yarn spinning, and I handle the making of the textiles. We design and create shawls, throws, stoles, cushion covers, table mats, curtains and more. Some 30 artisans collaborate with us now.'

High Quality Pashima Rose shawl.
I purchased this pashima paisley shawl, as a very special Christmas present for my sister, as my way of saying Thank You for all she has done for me while I have been ill. I searched the web looking for this, as having a lot of experience of high quality fabrics, I wanted a WOVEN paisley pashima, NOT a print. In other words - the REAL Macoy! I was not disappointed when it arrived. My sister was thrilled with its softness, subtle colouring and general quality. The pashima arrived New Years Eve, the very day she came to visit me. This pashima fullfilled ALL my expectations, and I would not hesitate to purchase from this web site again, as being an artist myself, fair trade products are HIGHLY important to me and my family. The skill that went into this highly prized item, is to be nothing but revered!

This shawl was purchased as a gift and my friend loved it! The colors are beautiful - a quality product made special by it's handmade origin. Shipment took about 3 weeks so bear that in mind when ordering.
