About the artisan, Sajad--I was born on March 18, 1960 in Kashmir, India. I have inherited these rich craft traditions from my ancestors, who have been creating exquisite handicrafts for a long time. Ever since I began, I have been always keen about one thing and that is quality. My products include chain-stitched rugs, shawls, pashminas, hand-painted papier mache, table linens and bedspreads.
