Story Behind the Art:
The elder in a village coordinates several villages/families to get carvings done. They disperse the raw wood bought for each order to each group and then collect the rough carvings for delivery. Most carvers are just family operations and the carving is done when they can. There are cycles based on the rice or other agricultural seasons where they can only get limited carving done. Over the years they have developed designs that have become popular.

Great artwork
Really great art, hand carving is spectacular and looks just the same as online picture. The varying colors of the wood really give a unique richness to the look, have received several outstanding compliments on this one.
