This handcrafted item and many others come from a third-generation family-run workshop in mainland China. Their skills have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home, training the next generation to become master craftsmen.

Wish I could give it 3.5 stars...
...because this screen is between "good" and "average." I own a 1930's home that has a bit of an awkward 1/2 bathroom plumbed into an old closet in one of the bedrooms...I thought it needed some differentiation, so I bought this screen to separate the bathroom area from the bedroom area. The walnut color nicely matches the other stained wood accents in my house, and it's a very good size both in width & height. It's nice that the paper is reinforced. I wish it had panes on both sides of the screen, but no big deal. The two end panels don't seem to be attached quite even to the two middle panels, so it doesn't stand very level...It makes it a bit wobbly on the ends, and I'm nervous about letting my 70 lb. clumsy mutt near it. But for what I paid for it, and for its purpose, it's decent.

I Purchased this screen to separate my office space from the living room. It served my purposes perfectly, and I receive numerous compliments from visitors. I ordered the walnut color, which was much darker than I had expected, but I am still pleased with the item.
