Khun Pacume explains the art: 'I learned to carve during the rice seasons while we waited for harvest from my father who learned from his father. Our family works together with cousins as time allows and there are jobs to carve. I create some of my own designs but most work is by customer design or modifications of my original designs. Working with wood is peaceful and allows our family to earn extra money between seasons'
