Story Behind the Art:
'I started to learn to sculpt at the age of eight when I was still in primary school, learning from my father how to carve traditional statues from wood. At first, I sold my statues to the sellers in the art market and at small shops. As time went by, I was able to bring out my ideas by selecting different types of wood and concentrating on the themes that could satisfy my creative desires. Exploring the abstract world refreshes my mind in creating new carvings.'

Interesting piece
Received this product quickly...it is definitely a conversation piece. The features on mine were a little more pronounced such as the chin and the chest, but overall matches the picture and looks great in my living room. I have other similar wooden pieces (thru overstock worldstock also) such as this grouped together and the look is cohesive and unique. I frequently look out for new pieces to add as well.

Wood Abstract Sitting
Well, the wood is pretty and the carving is well done but honestly, it looks like someone is sitting on the toilet. Interesting conversation piece but I just can't get past the image whenever I look at it.
