Ketut lives in a mountain village called Sebatu in central Bali. The villages of Bali specialize in just one export: the village specializes in carving wind chime pieces.
Ketut got her name through birth order. In the Bali culture, families name their children in the order in which they are born, male or female. In order of birth, their children are named Wyan, Made (Mahday), Yoman, and Ketut.

Great Product
This one is truly alot prettier than the picture!! The lightest wind makes these make their unique sound, it almost sounds like being on an island with the breezes blowing the reeds together!!

I bought this for my parents for Christmas. I'm sure they will like it. They love handcrafted things and it sounds really relaxing when the wind blows.

Beautiful Sound
Well worth the money. It's big enough and strong enough that you won't be bombarded with consistent clicks and clacks and yet when it does chime, it just makes me smile. I've gotten many nice compliments by my neighbors as of course, one must think about them if you plan to place any wind chimes in close quarters as apartments sometimes are.

Rough Hewn
The chimes are advertised as handmade, but should also indicate they are very rough hewn. I found the painting in the "Welcome" lettering rather sloppy. It was not the charming gift I had hoped to present.
