Story Behind the Art:
Nyoman Mahayani grew up following in his father's footsteps to become a renowned stone carver. He now helps a good portion of his village near Bangli on the island of Bali. He and his workers appreciate being able to earn a good and stable salary, as well as being able to work locally without having to travel long distances for work in the city. His work also allows Nyoman to invest more time and energy in his family of three children.

Lovely Happy Buddha Statue
I love my Happy Buddha! Saw this statue while on vacation in San Francisco's China Town and loved it but didn't buy it, amd regreted that as soon as we left. After alot of searching I found this one on Overstock! He is adorable and well made...just what I was looking for! And at a good price!

happy customer for happy Buddha
I bought the Happy Buddha for my husband, who has wanted a Buddha statue to put on an empty pedestal outside the bathroom window. I ordered this one, and secretly put it on the pedestal. I waited for him to see it. The next day after his shower he came running out of the bathroom looking happier than the Buddha! It is a perfect weight, color, and "happiness". I wish it were a little bigger, but it matches the size specified on your website, so I knew what I was getting. We are both very pleased, and it makes us happy when we look at it everyday! Shipment was quick, packing was good, and overall my experience was excellent. I will not hesitate to rder from you again!

Poor Quality
I was so excited to find a small Happy Buddha with a decent price tag. There's a reason he's cheap. The detail on this little guy was very shallow or non existent. The quality control must not be very good because it looks fine in the picture.

It was damaged on the knee when I opened it and it was a little smaller than I thought.
