Story Behind the Art:
Anchalika Chamnan comes from northern Thailand, the gate to Burma, Laos, and China. 'My hometown is a trading town. My aunt began by buying textiles from people and selling to others. Later, she started to design her own textiles. She needs many people to help her, so I am here to help and have learned her craft. Embroidery is a traditional skill for the women in our area. Displaying our work to the world lets us support people from our village by offering them more work,' she says.

I love this woman's work. I have several of her designs. I wish the cell phone carrier were bigger. It is too narrow for my smart phone; I use it for my ipod instead.
