Story Behind the Art:
Nestor Yana hails from the Puno region of the Peruvian highlands, renowned for good quality alpaca and sheep wool. Yana and his siblings learned the different weaving and knitting techniques from their parents. When he first began to weave, he worked on rustic looms, built by himself along with other family members. Together they sold their wares at local markets until eventually they were able to acquire modern machinery, which in turn allowed them to develop newer designs.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

An excellent value
I bought this sweater for my somewhat finicky and clothes-conservative hubby. He really loves it. This sweater is made of high quality material and is climate adaptable.

alpaca sweater
As I have purchased this for a christmas gift I still don't know how it will fit that person, but it does appear to be a beautiful sweater and it is very soft and certainly will be warm without a lot of bulk.
