- Nyoman Kartini grew up following his father step becoming a renowned stone carver. He now helps a good portion of his wife's village in Indonesia. Being able to earn a good, stable salary working locally without having to travel long distance for work in the city is much appreciated for him and his workers. It also permits him to invest more time with his two daughters. Buddha sits in meditation upon a lotus, the symbol of all that is pure and good. The tight-knit spirals adorning Buddha's head actually represent a group of snails who, an old legend has it, kept his head cool as he sat meditating under the bodhi tree, unaware of the day's extreme heat. Suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.

Stone Serene Buddah Statuette
The item is listed as weighing 13 pounds and being 7"wide x 9" high x 5" deep but is the Q&A tab it is described as being 15" high. It is NOT 15" high! It is also darker than the picture appears. Still a good value overall.

Budda looks as expected
Item is a good quality, but I would have liked it to be larger with more of a presence. It looks very small in an outdoor setting. It would be better on a table top indoors.

- How accurate was the sizing? I did look at the size in the description before I ordered, but was still surprised that it is so small.

Not as described
The product description said it was much larger (I think 17" high x 11" wide ... something like that). What arrived was a tiny 8" x 6" statue. I returned it.
