Story Behind the Art:
Artisan Udayashin explains his story: 'I was born in Bali, Indonesia. I started my career in Merchant Navy for several years. With enough savings, I decided to work for myself. This journey led to silver crafting and semi-precious jewelry designing. It took tremendous efforts to design and market my jewelry at first. With the support of my family, I started a home workshop. Slowly it grew to include our neighborhood artisans. I have taught them what I learned about the jewelry designing and now we are capable of handcrafting versatile Bali designs with semi-precious stones. I am happy to be of some help to my neighborhood artisans in maintaining a decent livelihood.'
