Ika and Rami Hamburg run a studio that participates in a special program which employs several handicapped people who do stone setting, glass cutting and other finishing work. Ika and Rami have developed the unique way of setting Roman glass, stones and pearls into the silver, so that all these tiny materials create a rich mosaic texture and look.

Beautiful!
I would highly recommend this necklace. The size is just right (not too small), and the craftsmanship is superb. I've recieved many compliments on it, and have worn it many times. If there were earrings to match I would have gotten those too. Roman glass is very similar to abalone shell in color, but abalone shell is not a piece of history!
