Story Behind the Art:
Nyoman Rena works with wood and silver. 'I began learning to carve wood when I was in the third year of elementary school. My grandfather, an architect of traditional Balinese buildings, was also a senior carver, was very supportive of me. Then my father introduced me to a leading silversmith in my village, and I began to learn from him on Sundays. Now I use my experience as a carver and as a silversmith when I design my pieces.'

Beautiful Ring
This ring looks great online, but when I recieved it, I was very suprised at how much prettier it was. The garnet is a wonderful dark red and the setting is gorgeous. I have recieved compliments every time I have worn it. No one would believe what I paid for it!! It looks as if it cost 100 times what I paid for it. The sterling silver looks more like platinum or white gold. I bought this ring for myself for my birthday, which is in January. I am very happy with this ring as my birthstone gift to myself.

This is a very delicate ring, and lovely. The detail is amazing, the silver first rate and the garnet is beautiful. A great buy! I am glad I bought it; I wear it a lot! I like to stack it with plain silver bands.

dainty ring
The ring is a little smaller than I expected and the stone is a bit paler (but I expect color variations in a natural stone). Overall, it's a pretty ring with unusual design that I will enjoy for many years. I love the bezel setting - does not catch on anything!

just like the picture
The ring is just as it is shown. It is a little small for my taste but it is beautiful and looks just like the picture. The stone sits level with the silver scroll work. It was true to size ordered too. The details are wonderful and I guess that is why I wished the ring was a little bigger so you could truly appreciate the craftsmanship. So if a small ring is alright with you...order this ring. You will not be disappointed.

Garnet Solitaire
I purchased 5 rings for my 14 year old for Christmas. She and some of her friends wear them all at once at this age. This was her favorite ring. She is very picky and wears this every day. It is a nice quality ring.
