Story Behind the Art:
In 1993, Pramana Suantara opened his workshop in the small village of Ubud, that has since produced some of the finest examples of Balinese artisanship. Yet it was Pramana's experience as a caregiver for the Red Cross that inspired his philanthropic mission. For ten years he provided aid to the sick and suffering people of Indonesia, traveling from Badung to Tabanan. During this time, when opportunity afforded him, Pramana would often sit and reflect on the Balinese beaches, collecting the hued and motley shells born from the azure sea. Assisted by local and rural artisans, who have benefited at his hands, Pramana Suantara shares with you authentic Balinese shell craft and jewelry. He continues, through his work, to support and preserve the people of Bali and Balinese tradition.

This pendant is outstanding!! It is big abd bold, mother nature at her finest, combines with sterling... I ahve worn a few times both on a shirt and long chain. Mega compliments! It is really an outstaning piece! I bought it as a present to myself for a personal accomplisment. My limit was $100 for a treat, but heck, this pendant was perfect!.. WELL worth the price!
