Story Behind the Art:
This pendant is a collaboration between two craftsmen in two of great cities of the valley. The pottery is created from a hand-made mold, painted and glazed in the ancient town of Bhaktapur. The silver work, replicating the butterfly motif of the pottery, is created by Bal Krishna at his home in Kathmandu. Bringing together two ancient traditions and combining two very different talents, this necklace stands as a testimony to the living heritage, still found in Nepal.
