Being half Pakistani, I am familiar with Indian style jewelry and designs. This ring is very well made in spite of the fact that it's handmade. I ordered this ring mainly because in my culture the carnelian/agate stone is believed to be a very "lucky" stone. It's said to have great powers of luck for the wearer. Especially when it touches the skin and the darker the stone the more powerful. The stone I have is a dark red with just a hint of brown. The same color as "henna." It's about 10mm in size and I like the way it's been smoothly polished into a dome-shape or rounded like a cabacon and not faceted. That's what makes it so interresting. The ring is a good size overall, and I ordered my ring size(7) that fits my finger just perfectly. It has great detailing and very nicely made-workmanship wise. The design is very fancy. Looks like a showpiece on the finger. I would only suggest some tiny stones around the circular design. The ring might look much more beautiful. The ring is not very heavy. Only a little weight because of the stone maybe? I call this ring a royal ring because it looks like a ring only Indian Queens or Princess's wear! A gorgeous piece!!!Shellcollectingmermaid (Chicago, Illinois)
