Being half Pakistani, I am familiar with Indian style jewelry and designs. This ring is very well made in spite of the fact that it's handmade. I ordered this ring mainly because in my culture the carnelian/agate stone is believed to be a very "lucky" stone. It's said to have great powers of luck for the wearer. Especially when it touches the skin and the darker the stone the more powerful. The stone I have is a dark red with just a hint of brown. The same color as "henna." It's about 10mm in size and I like the way it's been smoothly polished into a dome-shape or rounded like a cabacon and not faceted. That's what makes it so interresting. The ring is a good size overall, and I ordered my ring size(7) that fits my finger just perfectly. It has great detailing and very nicely made-workmanship wise. The design is very fancy. Looks like a showpiece on the finger. I would only suggest some tiny stones around the circular design. The ring might look much more beautiful. The ring is not very heavy. Only a little weight because of the stone maybe? I call this ring a royal ring because it looks like a ring only Indian Queens or Princess's wear! I thought this ring was going to be gorgeous, but I wasn't real happy with it. The stone was much bigger that I thought, compared to the setting. And the stone was raised somewhat. This ring was ok, but not a favorite.

This is ring is very pretty. It is quite large in size, bigger than the picture shows. The stone appears darker that the photo also, but it still is a lovely ring and a nice piece.

Wow! This ring came to me only 3 days after placing my order! It is a really beautiful ring; looks just like the picture. I like it very much and enjoy wearing it! I have only one very slight problem with it: the stone is set lopsided (one side of the stone sits higher than the other side.) But even that doesn't take away from the beauty of this ring. It sort of adds to the unique character of the ring. I would recommend this ring to anybody who loves carnelian. I have ordered other rings made in India, and have found that the workmanship is true quality. I wouldn't purchase rings from anywhere else but Overstock.com!

Overall the ring was a very nice ring. The center stone was a nice stone and the workmanship on the top was really nice. I was a little let down though when I turned it over and looked underneath the cabachon, the Silver band was not a solid piece that connected together. Otherwise it looks very nice on!!!!

What a beautiful ring. It was not as large as I thought it would be however, I am pleased that it is not larger. I love the ring, it fits nicely on my ring finger and I've have several compliments on it since I started wearing it two days ago.

I was a little disappointed in the appearance of the ring. I expected it to be very ethnic and rich looking but instead it looked a little cheap. Not sure if the size was correct either. It was a bit too big.

I thought ring was too shiny and looked cheap. I'm returning the ring.

This is a nice ring, and a good value for the price. I was a little disappointed when I received the ring. It is not as big as I thought it would be from the picture. And I guess the silver is a lot more shiney than it appears in the photograph, therefore you don't really notice all the detail of the ring. But all in all, I enjoy wearing it.

I like the ring, but the "stone" is not a stone and it is NOT red like the picture. It is more like a dark orange glass. The silver workmanship doesn't look quite like the picture either. The ring sits high. I like it, but I wanted a RED STONE. I guess that is why it is called Agate.

The ring is lovely, very well made. Lots of attention to detail, even around the stone. Stone appears more red in the photo but it is still a nice stone. Ring is solid but not heavy. I ordered a size 6 and it fits just fine, turns just a little from the weight of the ring. Could probably fit up to a 6 1/2 but it does not fit my finger that is a size 7. Can be worn with casual clothes (jeans) and would look equally appropriate dressed up.

This ring is very nice. The only negative thing that I would say about it is that the stone has more of a orange tint to it as opposed to a red tint. I still like the ring, the style, and the fit. I would recommend to buy it, just be aware that the stone is not as dark as it looks in the picture.

This is a beautiful ring, well worth the price. It is a bit brownish-red in color, but picks up whatever shade you are wearing so goes with both. I highly recommend it and am very pleased with my purchase.

This ring is nice. It is heavy and the detail is really pretty. The stone is darker than it appears in the picture. It looks more brown than the reddish look it has in the picture. It looks like a marble. I was not really sure what to expect because I never saw Carnelian Agate before. The size runs big and the weight of the ring does cause it to slide around your finger a little, but it is not a problem. I should have ordered a smaller size, but did not want to go through the hassle of returning it. Overall I like the ring and I am sure I will wear it often.
