    Story Behind the Art:

    In 1993, Pramana Suantara opened his workshop in the small village of Ubud that has since produced some of the finest examples of Balinese artisanship. Yet it was Pramana's experience as a caregiver for the Red Cross that inspired his philanthropic mission. For ten years he provided aid to the sick and suffering people of Indonesia, traveling from Badung to Tabanan. During this time, when opportunity afforded him, Pramana would often sit and reflect on the Balinese beaches, collecting the hued and motley shells born from the azure sea. Assisted by local and rural artisans, who have benefited at his hands, Pramana Suantara shares with you authentic Balinese shell craft and jewelry.

    This looks and feels like plastic, and though I purchased it because I love fossils, I am pretty disappointed about that aspect.

  • JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR

    I purchased this for my Mother-in-law. She likes larger pieces and things that are unique. This fit the bill perfectly. It feels nice in your hand high quality at a fantastic price.as it looks like it should cost much more than it does. She loved it. We had gone on vacation to Hawaii with them . While we were there our son opened an oyster at a small gift shop. Inside was a 7mm pearl. We took the pearl and had it mounted on the fossil shell to create a one of a kind piece combinded with very precious memories. One of the best gifts she has ever received.

  • Fossil Shell Pendant

    At first, I wasn't thrilled when I received this item. I was overwhelmed by the actual size of the pendant but it's very lightweight. However, it was different and I like different/ unique pieces of jewerly. After wearing it, I got so many compliments. Luckily, I found some earrings with same colors and pattern that blend very well with pendant. Needless to say, I am glad I keep this item. Very beautiful piece and can be worn all year around.

  • Outstanding

    I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it. I was going to give it to my daughter for Christmas. The actual size of the pendant was larger than I thought it to be, therefore I knew my daughter would not like it, so I kept it for myself. I love it. Only suggestions would be that a necklace should have been included and a nicer gift box from Novica should have been provided for such a beautiful pendant.
