Story Behind the Art:
This product was made in the deserts of northern India by artisans that for generations worked within the British military establishment. Since the departure of the British in 1947, this region's industry has grown from one of military support to that of a world class handicraft and furniture industry.

Well...
I decided to take my chances despite other reviewers having had negative experiences with this piece. The quality is fine, actually, but the glass inserts are just not appropriately protected. Mine arrived with a chip on one corner and a 3" crack on another. Another, maybe fatal, flaw is the absolutely cheapest "cardboard" box the table is shipped in. It's that flimsy, papery material that tears way too easily, even when containing something small and lightweight. That soft stuff that kind of flakes when it tears. Anyway, it was rather disappointing but not too much since I was well-informed. Be careful if you decide to order this also because of the height: 30" is pretty tall unless you want to use it as a pedestal or a plant stand. Good luck!

Nice Taller Table for the Bohemian Decorator
Highly recommended if you are in the maket for a small, tall table. This a beautiful piece for the Bohemian decorator! It is has the look and feel of an older, artisan piece. The brass has an old, tarnished look and the glass is actually mirrors that have been treated to look old and tarnished too. It really feels/looks like a piece that has been handed down over the years. It was also very well packaged for shipping. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect Table
This table came exactly as described. I love the antiqued treatment of the glass, and the matte finish on the brass. If you hated brass before you will love this, it has character, depth and isn't garish at all. A real treasure.

I love the table. I have it standing by the corner with a jade plant and it picks up the area. It fits in with the contemporary/far eastern feel of the room.

side tables
these 2 tables I bought are fine but not worth near the claimed whole price. the mirrors have many tiny chips in them and in a store you would of seen this. I'm not sure I would buy something like this again from this site, biggest disapointment were the many little chips in all of the mirrors.
