I received an initial clock with about 4 subsequent replacements. The clocks hands were always broken and or the clock had come unglued from the cabinet. It is unfixable as you cannot access inside the crystal. I believe Overstock has added this to it's product control division. The cabinets were almost always perfect and I liked the clock design a lot otherwise.
I bought this as wedding present for my nephew. He loved the antique look of it. The face came loose in shipping. He was ableo reattach it with a glue gun.
The general feel of this clock is cheap and the appliques that cover the cabinet are affixed with poor adhesive that makes it want to peel. That said, the price of the item is also very cheap. So, I suppose it all depends what your looking for. I think its a good value for the money and it just plain looks nice on a bookcase, but don't expect a heavy well-built 1920s Elgin clock. Unlike some other viewers, I have had no issues with the clock or movement and it's keeping perfect time.
