Add a touch of old world charm to your decor with this Oriental square plant stand.
Standing 28 inches tall the piece is modeled after a Ming dynasty display stand. Handcrafted by artisans in Guangdong province in mainland China, the piece employs classic Chinese mortise and tenon floating panel joinery. The piece is topped off with a light rosewood finish.
The Story Behind the Product
This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China and run by a wonderful family that we here at Overstock.com have befriended over the course of several years. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The workers always seem to be smiling and are often excited to have new visitors. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff (my stomach can attest to this), the workers' clothes are clean and the environment seems organized and well run. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.

Great table for small price
I was very happy with this square plant stand. I'm not using it as a plant stand, but as a small decorative table in my entry way. It is well built and has a very nice finish with good wood. As usual, Overstock has made me a satisified customer!

Lovely stand. It is well made and substantial. Shiny, smooth finish which is darker than it appears in the online photo; better described as a medium cherry stain. Arrived very well packaged and quickly. Quality offering for the price.

Not the Honey One I ordered-but Works Great
I originally ordered the honey color but the one I received is a medium dark wood. It turned out to fit in my living room better than the other one would have; so, I kept it. This is an attractive, versatile, and very functional piece of furniture. Actually, I have a lamp on top and adesigner vase on the bottom shelf.
