Story Behind the Art:
These products are made in the deserts of northern India by artisans that for generations worked within the British military establishment. Since the departure of the British in 1947, this region's industry has grown from one of military support to that of a world class handicraft and furniture industry.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Not happy I had to pay for return shipping, which was much more than the shipping charged. This item is junk.Read More
This was given as a gift---I haven't yet seen it. The first one was slightly damaged and Overstock was very good and timely in replacing the table, my first experience in having such a problem. The person to whom I gave the table seemed to be pleased. I think you should cut back to a required thirty characters instead of fifty.Read More
I bought this little stool to use as an end table. It arrived within 4 days. It is an awesome piece of furniture. Very sleek, stylish with a utilitarian feel. It fits perfectly into my decor as an end table, but in a pinch will double as a place to sit on. It is very sturdy and well made. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for modern style furniture. It's solid construction is sure to last for years to come.Read More
This is a really nice stool. A real quality product !Read More
I bought two for either side of the sofa. Was needing something slim profile to provide a place for a drink. I also wanted something with an interesting look to go with our contemporary/transitional living room style. I'm very pleased with these stools. They have character and are the perfect size for my needs. The image does not do the metal justice. It is has a shiny sheen to it, not chrome but more like nambé silver products; which was a pleasant surprise in my case. I appreciate the craftsmanship of these pieces. The metalwork on the top has a design of a starburst which isn't really visible in the web image. It's subtle on the actual stool but gives it a nice detail. They're lightweight and easy to move. I put felt on the bottom to protect the hardwood floor because these will scratch the surface. I found that the small circle felt pads that are used on cabinet doors work really well since the stool area to attach them is small and rounded. Also, you need to use a coaster to protect them from drink condensation because they will leave faint rust rings (which I was able to remove with a quick swipe of rust remover.) -- They arrived within 5 days and were sufficiently packed and undamaged during shipping. -- They would also be great for a mancave. Hubby's first reaction were that they were very "Son's of Anarchy".Read More

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
