They date back millennia and have been utilized around the world in one form or another. These artists and their predecessors have been creating sarongs for centuries and are well known throughout the world for their skill, creativity and expertise, specifically their skill in batik. Batik is a design method that has been employed for centuries, handed down from generation to generation. It is an extremely difficult art to master; sons and daughters start this work at an early age because it requires a great deal of practice and patience. Each batik sarong is a work of art and can take hours and sometimes days to create depending on the difficult of the design.

Wow
Wonderful feel to the material, which I believe is a heavy weight rayon. Wools well as a cover-up at the pool or a shoulder wrap on a slightly cool summer evening. Size is generous as well.
