Story Behind the Art:
Working with Jedando Modern Handicrafts, the young men and women of Zakale Jewelry produce handmade jewelry using the skills of wire work and electroplating. The project first started as a garbage collection project in the slums of Nairobi. Recycling remains very close to the heart of the project. Many of the pieces used are reclaimed or recycled.

Beautiful product. I love it.
I ordered a few bracelets and they all were here on my door step before I knew it! I love this bracelet, I havent taken it off since I put it on. It is strong enough to hold up to my eight month old son who loves to pull on anything and everything. I was concerned that I would loose it because the clasp is different then your ordinary jewelry clasps, but not once has it came undone. The colors are beautiful and I have had many compliments on this bracelet as well as the others I purchased. Thank you Overstock!

Unique and comfortable to wear
I was pleased with the bracelet. It was unique and light weight, I liked the the multi strains of wire. I was a bit disappointed in the bead colors, overall they were all subdued, somewhat pale. I thought they would be bold, bright as in the picture. Something that would jump right out, particularily with jeans, etc., It is nicely made, comfortable to wear.

I LOVE this bracelet!!
A little big but there are three rings that allow for some adjustment depending on which one you connect the clasp/hook to. I wear this along with two other silver bracelets and it really stands out. Thinking of buying some for birthday presents. Very well made and affordable!

silverplated Kenyan-made bracelet
I gave this to my daughter when she got her Master's degree. She wore it right away, and she doesn't usually wear bracelets.. She seems to really like it a lot.and she remarked that it would go with many outfits.

Kenya Bead Bracelet
The "silver plating" doesn't look like silver, but like aluminum. This is a nice "craft" bracelet for wearing with funky, BoHo chic clothes, but since it is too snug on my wrist so it will end up being a gift for a friend.

Eye catching
The compliments I've rec'd come from men and women and caught their eye immediately. I've yet to wear it when somebody doesn't notice it and comment. I like handcrafted, unique pieces and this falls into that category. I still fumble with the clasp but not overly so.
