Story Behind the Art:
Gianyar is a part of Bali known throughout the world for its beautiful landscapes and exceptional artistic legacy. In 1990, Buana decided to learn to craft silver jewelry from a friend in Celuk. Supported by his family, Buana has continued his profession as silversmith. 'I am thankful to God for giving me such a great gift so I can make a living for my family. Not much, perhaps, but enough for our simple way of life.'

I love Novica jewelry, the whole small industry concept, everything! I've had my eye on the artist Buana for sometime. I have seen them offered on other sites, but the price on Overstock.com was the compelling point to order them now. I received them in great time and they were even nicer in reality than I thought they would be and in a very nice gift box. I loved them so much that I ordered the "Sleeping Beauty" pendant for myself for Christmas. I can't wait to receive it.

Lovely but heavy
Really pretty, nice details and interesting design. I had to return because they were just too heavy for my ears. The 'hanger' part is very long, too, extends clear down the length of the earring itself and is very sturdy, I suppose that is a good way not to lose them. I didn't realize that Overstock.com requires one to pay for the return postage. That will influence my purchasing decisions from now on.
