This hand-crafted item and many others come from a third generation family run factory in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. Many of the artists are hired out of semi-retirement to work from home training the next generation to become master craftsmen. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties and continue to produce valuable and desirable pieces for your home decor.

Very effective enhancement to my master bedroom
Okay, here's the deal: This piece is working out perfectly for me in my light blue/biege master with dark wood furniture.The quality is just fine, and there are actually many nice features, such as the gold corner pieces and studs around the frame, and the silky border. The hardware is definitely in the box!!!! It is taped to the inside edge of the box -- not the picture! It lies flat against the wall with two hangers which you have to "install". It was a pain to do the measurements to ensure that this very long piece hung exactly right above the headboard, but it was worth it. I wish I cold post a picture!! Just one more warning: There is some kind of oil or stain that got on my hands when I unpacked it. Luckily I did not get any on the picture, but be careful when you open it.
