Melati's Collection is borne out of a fascination with Indonesian textiles. 'Art has always been a part of my family. Batik has a divine beauty evoked by its design, with a deep idealistic worth from the merging of Hindu-Javanese and Chinese cultures. I try to make something special and different with batik textiles. I select the finest silk batik to create fashionable gift items.'

After grabbing mail, magazines, iPad to fan these newly discovered hot flashes away, I wanted something handy but pretty to lay on table...this is a very pretty little fan. The silk is ebony black and rings metallic gold, well made and looks nice on table. Ladies, these fans should be mandatory for all us suffering girls in this glowing time of life...Trust me! I think it's my new besty... I'm ordering second for bed table :)
