Story Behind the Art:
Born of a desire to reduce India's mountain of waste, improve energy efficiency and help some of Delhi's poorest out of the city's slums, Conserve India began to achieve all this by turning plastic bags into high fashion. Conserve started as a fledgling recycling project but quickly adapted to confront the biggest challenge it was facing, what to do with the thousands of plastic bags that could not be decomposted or recycled locally.

Charming but Useless Luggage tags...
These are really very pretty, but there's NO PLACE to insert any ID info... There's a frame that's stitched all around with no entry space; and there's no plastic window...Otherwise, if you're just using it to identify your luggage with a colorful tag on the luggage claim belt at an airport, then it has some use... But NOT as a conventional luggage tag! I even tried writing my ID info on a stick-on label, but because of the strange waxy surface, the label would not adhere...I had to glue it in place...! I do NOT recommend these as luggage tags... Maybe as cute and unusual "gift tags" for luggage... but then you would have to write your message with a magic marker...
