Product features:
These shapely water glasses are hand-crafted by Javier Gutierrez and Efren Canteras. Each glass is individually hand-crafted to bring you the magic of quality Mexican art blowing. Since the 1990s, they've worked together to preserve Mexico's blown glass artistry. Working as a team, Javier specializes in the design of the pieces, and Efren transforms the designs into a reality.
"This type of work is a beautiful craft. I love blown glass because of the pure imagination poured into every piece created," confides Efren.
"Blowing glass came to Mexico from Spain and is practiced all over the world, but Mexico's blown glass artistry is unique," says Javier. "I was 15 years old when I began blowing glass. Now I have the opportunity to teach the art of blowing hot glass to other young artisans. I start by employing people as my assistants, but I aim to train them to be experts, glass blowers equipped with a beautiful and useful skill."

Beautiful Glasses
Overall I would recommend these glasses to everyone. They were slightly smaller than I expected, but they are worth it. They match Fiesta Blue plates exactly, which I was pleased about.

Nice sturdy glassware
They are unique in that they are curvy and sturdy. Possible to use them for wine, but I am planning on using them for drinking glasses! What the heck, you only live once! Planning to order the drinking glasses to go with them.

Bought another 2 sets for our summer house
I wanted to buy sturdy wine glasses for everyday use. I have expensive wine glasses, but hate to use them because I break glasses all the time. These glasses are thick and sturdy, yet pretty. Machine washable and they don't break even if you drop on the hardwood floor. I know these are not for wine, but they serve well for my purpose. I bought 2 more sets for our summer house.
