Boy was I happy when I opened the box of baskets! These lovely handmade baskets were all different patterns and colorful too, which is exactly what I wanted. I had seen these baskets at a fiber fair selling for $35 each and was happy to see that I could purchase 3 baskets for less, which allows me to give away a basket as a gift. They will come in useful for my yarn and knitting to carry to a retreat or weekly group event. They shaped easily also. I just sprinkled them with water, baskets only avoiding the handles and worked the body a bit, they dried firm and nicely shapen, thanks Overstock for providing a great product reasonably priced. At first I found them on yoru site but they were out of stock, I signed up for the reminder email when restocked and within a week or so was notified they were available and ordered them, thanks so much, I am very happy with my purchase, my friends also commented on how nice they are and I shared with them they came from Overstock!

These ghanian baskets are beautifully constructed with beautiful colors and a durable leather wrapped handle. They arrived on time and in great shape. NOTE: during shipping the baskets can arrive slightly smushed down. This is not a problem. Simply wet them and let them dry and they spring back to their original shape. I plan to buy more of these baskets as gifts for friends.

• Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The colors are great. Expect a variety. I did not receive a green one like in the display pic. These baskets were primarily red, navy, golden brown, light brown. Enough of a color mix to essentially be neutral for most decor.

Like many, I have been coveting these baskets at my local healthfood market for years. They charge almost the same price for one basket that Overstock charges for 3! I finally came looking for them here as I really wanted to give one to a friend as a wedding gift and one to my mother for her birthday. I was so pleased to find them here for a steal! They did come smooshed into a box, but the beauty of these baskets is their ability to be molded into whatever shape you need them to be. I am tickled pink to have three beautiful (and all large) baskets- two to give away and one to keep!

WOW!! These are BIG baskets and they are absolutely gorgeous!They are bigger and more attractive than I had invisioned. They did require some hand shaping due to the shipping method, but just dampen them and mold them as you like.

I ordered two sets of the Tribal Baskets. They are wonderful! Each one is different (none are green). I already had one Tribal Basket purchased elsewhere and these are just the same. Excellent quality, designs, size, etc.

My wife ordered these baskets to give away as gifts, but once she received them, she kept them all! The colors were bright and beautiful. They were packed tight, but once separated, watered down and reshaped, they look great! Our 5 year old granddaughter likes to fill them with things and walk around the house pretending to "shop"! We would highly recommend them and should actually order another set. The price for all three was a bargin!

The baskets are beautiful and vibrant colors feel very southwestern. The leather handle will make the carrying of the baskets easier and longer wearing. Since I use these baskets daily to deliver breakfast to my B and B, they make a lovely presentation with baked goods and fruit. Thank you Ghana for making these treasures!

I use the four I own daily. I am known as the basket lady. Great to carry crafts, food, purchases, books etc... If they lose their shape, stick them in a bathtub of water and reshape as they dry! I just need more, can't live without them. I should give some as gifts, but I am greedy in the way everyone envies them, and no one I have ever met owns one!

The baskets have gotten good reviews because they are beautiful and interesting. The colors vary, but mine were green, fuschia, and yellow, and green and yellow, and one that has all three colors plus a little red and purple. The fuschia is a little much, but because the baskets are world craft fare, it works. It's African village variety at a big box store price.

I had seen these baskets at stores and was always tempted to buy them. One day looking for something else I came across the product at Overstock (sometimes I just come into the site to browse) and decided to buy them. They are great!! I keep all sorts of things in them that otherwise would be either out-of-sight -and therefore forgotten-, or dispersed all over, and thus lost to me... By using these baskets, I can keep some order and availability at the same time. They look great in a way that just handmade things can look. It also makes me happy to use a product made by hands so far away from where I live. It connects me to lovely people in Ghana and I like that.

Such lovely baskets for a real great price. The perfect gift for yourself or somebody else. Use one for decorations in your home or take it to the farmers market. They are so versatile. But what I love about buying these beautiful baskets the most is that I am able to help women in Africa to support themselves. In other words to become more independent. So it's a great gift all the way around.

You will love these! I use one fr al my remotes, etc., next to the TV, another in the bathroom as a catch all and one in the bedroom filled with scarves as part of a grouping of African art, etc. When I got them, I followed the directions for reshaping them by submerging them in cold water. Worked perfectly; no problem at all. I always get compliments on them. They are SO WELL MADE!

I was a little apprehensive to order from some other reviews about the colors they received, but I am thrilled with the purchase. They are just like the baskets you see at outdoor markets for twice the cost, The directions are included for reshaping after arrival and are correct. I've given away two as gifts with a couple of other goodies and the basket doubles as the "wrapping". All reciipients were thrilled to recieve them.
