Story Behind the Art:
Duangkamol Srisukri is from Bangkok. 'Most of my works are Thai and Chinese reproductions like vases, ginger jars, and figurines,' she says. 'My intention is to maintain the ancient art of celadon and stoneware so that future generations can enjoy these pieces. Together with other artists, we have created beautiful hand-crafted pieces with ornate incisions and bas relief. Each piece that I make has many stories to tell. Each piece is individually signed by the artist who has worked on it.'

Celadon is a color as well as a style of glazing
These charming and harmonizing three vases are "celadon" both as to their type of glazing and as to their color -- not light blue as photos indicate but a light, slightly neutral green (which works with almost anything). Workmanship, from the Sawankhalok valley of Thailand, is of a high order. The two sets I have ordered each came with "bombproof" wrapping and packing. In short, these are of a higher order than the usual import-store fare and IMO well worth the price. Like all NOVICA products, this set comes with a card showing location (provenance) of work and name of artist. I am very pleased with mine.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? No -- The photo shows a very light blue when in fact the vases are a very light green (celadon).
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Superb. A real artisanal product. And the three of them work together wonderfully.
- How accurate was the sizing? Accurate sizing -- bear in mind that the tallest of the three is only 5.7 inches tall.

lovely vases
These vases arrived undamaged ,and It felt good to buy them from actual artisans through National Geographic. They are attractive and look good on my mantel.
