These were hard to assemble and looked a bit cheap. They were supremely uncomfortable, so we returned them.
You can easily tell these chairs are made in a third world country. They are difficult to assemble( because of missing parts), unevenly cut, and the hardware looks like they found it in my great grandfathers workshop. Old, rusty. Some bent, some entirely missing. Not worth the money. The one plus is that they are rugged and once assembled, seem to be able to stand up to heavy use.
these chairs are a wonderful choice. strong...sturdy, very bold. they seem to be more black stained than a red brown, but not a dissappointment. ours did not come with instructions but still easy to assemble.
nice design, but they are deep black in color - be prepared!
