These bowls are such fun to entertain with and they draw compliments whenever I use them which is often. They are naturally beautiful and resilient and thus can be used for either hot or cold foods. The food safe lacquer adds a modern touch of gloss and color which serves to enhance the design of the bowl. I love the idea that each bowl comes with chopsticks that fit neatly through the clever slots. It is certainly a great find!!

The bowls are well made and sturdy, but very lightweight. Not heavy like a ceramic. But very nice.Gave as a gift with a wok and cooking utensils and cookbook. They were very happy with the bowls and the unique slot to put the chopsticks in made serving up their 1st meal a real treat. They have been used many times.
