I got this gift for a co-worker of mine who seems to have everything. The Penguins were beautiful with rich colors! The craftsmanship looked a bit shabby but it gave it that authentic look and feel. My co-worker absolutely loves them and displays them proudly in her office! She even compared them to a piece of artwork she¿d gotten from Peru and they were identical in color and craftsmanship. Great gift for collectors of world artwork and pieces.

I ordered 2 sets ,and though simular ,they they stand out in their own way.. No two gourds are the same size or shape. In fact one of the penguins looks to be cocking its head around like a mother would to her off-spring..The expresions are intense ..Detail incredable...Only fault is a couple out of the four were not completed to the face...(detail wise )yet not distracting from it 's overall beauty.. The penguins are absolutely beautiful! The color and carving detail have gotten rave reviews from every person who has visited our home. I use them (with a tall brass candle holder) on my round dining room table. The workmanship is exquisite and I could not be more satisfied. My only "concern" to potential buyers would be the time it took to receive them ... 3-4 weeks ... but well worth the wait, and the price is amazing. If you're ordering for a special occasion, allow plenty of time for delivery. They're gorgeous!

I thought the gourds were very cute, they look great above my cabinets, but like other reviews said they do not stand well on their own, they tend to fall over and need to be propped up to sit properly, however, i definately would reccomend them, they are beautifull painted.

Was expecting something slightly larger. The colors are not as vibrant as they look on the webpage howvever, they are still very elegant and unique. My little 2 year old loves them!

I love these. The feet are too small which makes it a little difficult to correctly balance so they don't fall over, but they are very colorful and designed beautifully. Highly recommend.

Love them! The only thing that needs improvement is the design of the legs...The painting is beautiful and they look excellent.

I love love love these birds! They're so fun and colorful and unique. True, the beaks don't fit in quite right and can fall out, but the rest of the workmanship lives up. I also thought the birds would be a bit bigger, but regardless, I really love them/.

Personally knowing several award winning U.S. gourd artists, I have come to know high quality gourd art. I found these to be equal to if not higher quality than what I've seen. Extremely well done! They are great accent pieces.

These two gourd penguins made the perfect Christmas present- they are wonderfully crafted, light and make a terrific center-piece above our mantel. My only critisism is that one of the penguins can't stand up due to his wobbly leg; but we have gotten around that. Because they are so fragile, we placed the birds over the fireplace so the grandchildren would not try to make these penguins 'fly'. I am very satisfied with their quality, and would recommend it to any bird/art lover.

I bought two sets, one for me and for a friend who likes them too much. Very creative and original design. Low weighted but you will be surprised when shake them.

The penquins were lighter weight than I thought they would be, but were overall beautiful pieces.

I've ordered this pair of pinguins and I very happy with them, although I was surprised that there colors were not what I expected after seeing the picture, I ve noticed that some overstock items, if they have some red as their color, it's brighter on pictures then in reality, so I have to take it into consideration when making my decision ( it happened with two orders). Still they are really nicely done and I enjoy having them.

This was a unique gift, and a perfect gift for the my sister. They are beautiful and charming and each one is slightly different based on the shape of the gourd. I did receive the first item with one leg broken, but it was exchanged for free (and with returnshipping paid by overstock.com) and was happy with the replacement version. I am very happy with them and so was my sister!
