A group of artisans in a non-government organization decided to form a small co-op of their own and help women develop their arts and crafts in the hopes to achieve sustainable employment. The organization trains and empowers tribal women groups with vocational education, helping them create functional products and make a living. These items are handcrafted in the State of Uttar Pradesh (in northern India). Each purchase not only ensures fair compensation for the artist behind this creation, but a portion of the proceeds benefit underprivileged children in India.
