    Story Behind the Art:
    'I always knew I wanted to paint, but I wasn't sure I could make a living out of it, so I thought I should look into other fields too,' recalls Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. 'I observed master carver Musa at his workshop for a period of time, then I picked up a log of wood and started carving out a mask as I had observed him doing. This surprised Musa and he was willing to help me perfect the skill. I developed a love for this new art, and that's how I eventually became a master carver too!'

  • Beautiful

    I love this mask. It fits perfectly in my little wall art project. I created framed textured wall paper areas on a wall in my living room. I have an African/Asian transitional theme in my home. I wanted masks of a certain size to go in each of those areas. I was a little hesitant about ordering masks online. Sometimes the quality and craftsmanship is not that good. However, that was not the case with these masks. They were true to size, color and well carved. I wish I could submit a picture. I am very pleased and have received many compliments.
