Overstock does a good job of describing this screen. It does provide a serene, Zen-like atmosphere in the room. As mentioned, the matchstick construction does not offer complete privacy, but rather, a semi-screen which filters light. Nice, unless you need total privacy. A word of advice -- if you are torn between getting the natural and the honey color frames, go for the natural. Within weeks, our honey colored frame was a rather dated and awkward orange color. We have since painted them a pale grey to match our trim. Overall, this was another deal.
I live in a studio in nyc and needed a screen to shield my bed from view. However, this screen does not work for this situation because you can see right through. It offers no privacy whatsoever! For this reason, I have to return the product. On the up side, the screen did arrive quickly and in great shape. Unfortunately, it did not meet my needs.
I have a loft apartment with a half wall and needed a way to deter my two cats from jumping up on it since it's so far to the downstairs floor. So I decided to go with some screens to put in front of the short wall. These are perfect, you can still see the outside between the bamboo, and they let the light in, plus they serve the purpose of extending that half wall so my little four legged kids don't get too curious. :) Thanks!
