Overall, this cabinet was disappointing. The workmanship was poor. The design appears to be a sheet of something that has been glued on and then laminated, giving a plastic-y texture. The images on the front doors appear vertically stretched in an odd manner, like a fun-house mirror. The image on the top of the cabinet is more normal appearing. The inside of the cabinet is painted but the wood is very rough. You'd have to sand and varnish it if you wanted to store anything that might snag, such as linens or clothes. Mine arrived with one of the back legs broken, but Overstock immediately made good on that, so I can't complain on that account. Overall, I couldn't recommend it, even given the price.

I bought the piece to house some of dvds in my family room and it looks good. The quality is a little rough but it does add a little touch of the orient to my decor.
