- Backstrap loom fabric is handwoven by the San Juan Weaver's Group which is made up of Tz'utujil women who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient labor intensive technique of hand tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns

For more than ten years Maya Traditions has worked with indigenous weavers in the highlands of Guatemala. Its mission is to support weaving groups and small family businesses through providing consistent income, as well as health and education projects.

A Sweet Little Wallet
The outer color panel is tightly woven and seems durable. The colors are vivid. The inner pockets are perfecty sized for cards. I don't have any struggling to get them out, nor do they slide out so easily that they won't stay in the wallet. Tose are often problems with fabric wallets. It is a very comfortable wallet to wear. It's just a very well constructed and handsome wallet and I'm very happy with it after about a month of use. I did have some trouble with the initial ordering. For some reason the website would not let me select the color i wanted-- which was anoying since the selction was down to two of the four shown. However, Overstock responded when I complained, changed my order and sent it with no fuss. The communication was great. No one likes hassles with mail-order transactions so i applaud Overstock for quick response and willingness to correct the problems.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. It was better than I expected. Seems very well constructed. There are several pockets for cards, lots of room for bills.
- How accurate was the sizing? Perfect. My cards all fit and the wallet fits into my pocket easily.

Nice Wallet
Very nice wallet; I ordered it on Friday and received it today - Monday. Very good service. The fabric it's made of is soft, can carry it in my pocket without feeling bulky. The weaving on the front is beautiful and made well. Just what I was looking for.

my opinion
I expected the wallet to be a little bigger to hold more stuff, since the color features are feminine to me. It is shaped like a men wallet.
