Story Behind the Art:
The San Juan Weavers Group is made up of Tz'utujil women who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient labor intensive technique of hand tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns. Their style of weaving uses textured cotton thread, which softens with each washing. Maya Traditions is a fair-trade producer and wholesale business based in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. For more than ten years Maya Traditions has worked with indigenous weavers in the highlands of Guatemala. Its mission is to support weaving groups and small family businesses through providing consistent income, as well as health and education projects.

Handy and cute
I love this handmade number, it's cute, very easy to carry and does exactly what I need it to do. I can fit my blackberry into it without a problem and still have room left over for coins, my metrocard, notes and a small packaged snack! It's a nice item to add to any bag collection!

Really adorable!
This bag is a great size to carry your cell, money, and other small items. The texture and color are really nice. Side note, I am short (5'1") and this bag hits right above my hip. I wish it was just a little longer.
