Story Behind the Art:
The artistry of Javier and Efren has been featured in periodicals ranging from 'Sunset' magazine to the 'Miami Herald.' Since the 1990s, Javier Gutierrez and Efren Canteras have worked together to preserve Mexico's blown glass artistry. 'I love blown glass because of the pure imagination poured into every piece created,' confides Efren. 'Mexico's blown glass artistry is unique,' says Javier enthusiastically. 'Now I have the opportunity to teach the art of blowing hot glass to other young artisans.' Javier specializes in design, and Efren transforms the designs into a reality.
The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen.

Love 'em
Really nice heavy weight shot glasses. Beautiful deep rich red color. Each is a little different than the others. NOVICA glassware may become my new favorite for gift giving (even for myself!).

Ruby red glasses
The delivery was late and I had to phone to find what had happened to them and they did not arrive till after christmas which was a shame as they were a present for my niece. However, when they did arrive they were beautifully wrapped with a raffia bow and a lovely card from Mexico. There were no breakages and the glasses were lovely.

Bought this set for my brother and sister in law as a gift. They travel to Mexico quite often, purchase items there and cook hispanic food all the time at home. The set came packaged beautifully and carried a descritption of where the glasses were hand blown in Mexico and all about the artist. They totally loved this gift!
