This hand-crafted item comes from a third generation family run workshop in mainland China. Their skills of hand-painting, hand-rubbed lacquering and hand-tooling have been passed down for many generations. We are proud to support them in their quest to keep their age-old techniques alive for future generations. These masters are highly respected in their craft and their culture which have survived through many Chinese dynasties.

attractive functional stand
A rosewood wood stand that is 7 inches square and will be useful for multiple uses from vases, to statues both stone i.e. jade, or metal i.e. brass. It is the right size for mounting large mineral specimens. It does well with the use of museum putty to attach the item to the stand and allows removal of the putty without harm to the stand. I reserved a score of 5/5 for stands that include burl, root stands and those stands that are examples of greater level of craftsmanship and wood quality.
