Story Behind the Art:
The monochromatic print interpreted in one of the inseparable features of our Indian Art and Culture - Intricate florals. This particular floral pattern has been inspired from India's pride "Brocade Work" or more widely known as "Zari Work". The roots for this work can be traced out in a place called "Banaras". This work was traditionally done on stoles and sarees. However have now taken its role on life style things also. "Brocade Work" is done with gold or silver metallic thread translated through weaving. It uses various motifs and floral patterns to bring the art alive.The vivid colors tell the tales of our glorious past. Our duvet has been skilfully ornated with one of the intricate floral patterns picked up from "Banaras Brocade". In the process, the two states artisans came together on the same platform to create a flawless pattern. Once flaunted on the bed, enlivens the whole ambiance. Every home maker would want to be a proud owner of one ! Or it could make a fabulous gift to express what they mean to you.

Red and White Flower Brocade King-size Duvet Cover
I found the shade to be much less rich than the photo depicts. Its not as vibrant a red, its more toned down. It does the job though!

This item was a huge disappointment! I sent it back without even opening the package it came in...the color was no where near the picture, and I could tell from the weight, and from looking at it that the quality was poor.
