Story Behind the Art:
These exquisite lanterns are hand made made by master artisans. Artisans learn the craft from their fathers and their business is typically family-owned. Tourists come from around the world to experience and admire this artistry. This artisan is a young, talented craftsman who started at the age of twelve and loved making these lamps. This was a way to help out his father. From working with tourists, he learned to speak two additional languages, French and English, without attending high school. This 20 year-old artisan is now living with his parents comfortably and continues to work in his father's shop in Marrakesh.

Beautiful-- but it is not wired for electricity
This light came with a white chain "swag kit" but there wasn't even a socket in the swag kit. Luckily my husband is an electrician so he wired it up with 2 candleabra sockets and it couldn't be more beautiful! He got a bronze chain to swag it and I couldn't be happier. The description is deceptive though. It arrives no where near plug-in ready but the little door will accomodate wiring and replacing bulbs.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Yes.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. It is gorgeous.
- How accurate was the sizing? Absolutely.
