This bag is more than I expected. It is soft and strong and beautiful. The fact it is from "fair trade" makes it even better. It was made in India using receycled tires, and the "stuffing" inside the purse is news paper from the Hindu Times. I know that is neither here nor there, but it tickled me somehow. Thanks O.

The style is darling and is just a very interesting piece. However, I didn't see anyone else remark on this so I'm not sure if theyhad the same problem or not. It has a very strong tire odor that won't quite go away. I guess I should have thought that it would but its not very pleasant. I've been leaving it setting out hoping that it will fade and it has to some extent. Any suggestions? Other than that I really love the style and craftsman ship.

When this bag arrived it smelled like a GoodYear store; however, the smell is gone completly after a month of using the purse. I get a lot of compliments, the bag has a nice shape and perfect size for me. It is a little heavy due to the material, but hey, this is what you can expect from a recycled tire. I recommend for everybody who wants something special and don't cares about brand names.

I get a lot of compliments on this purse and people love the fact that it is made from recycled tires (I like to tell people that it's not my everyday purse that I just use it as my spare); def a conversation starter, ha ha. My only complaint is that it is a little on the small side.

I love this purse. This is my 3rd bag in this shape. I have two other made from recycled plastic bags. It really is an attention grabber. You can fit everything you need plus more in this bag and they even included a pocket for your cell phone. Love it!

This purse is unique and compact. The zipper is long allowing extra space. The liner serves as the coloring for the flower cutouts. There is a tiny pocket inside the purse that would be ideal for a phone w/out a case or an Ipod, but my smart phone is too large with the protective cover on it. If you are seeking a unique style and like the idea of recycled tires you will love this purse!

It's a unique piece, love the combo of casual rubber and the more elegant look. It was an impulse purchase (I really didn't need a third black purse...) but I am still glad i got it!

I really like this purse...however, because it is made from tires the handles are a bit stiff and it is sometimes hard to keep them on my shoulder. It does not have a smell unless you actually put your nose to the bag (who does that anyway). Very nice bag and I would recommend.

I like the idea that I'm helping not only the environment, but also providing work and an income to someone halfway around the globe. The purse is very sturdy and I'm sure will hold up for a very long time. People are amazed when they find out the story behind the purse. The shoulder straps are a good length for me- I'm 5'3".

Stylish but sturdy, rugged yet ritzy. This bag is awesome! I'm so happy with the amount of room and ease of access inside the bag, and with the bright red accents and liner. The innertube exterior is an attractive matte black. The base sits sturdily on stud feet. Goes with just about anything.

I just love this purse. I was worried that the material might rub off on my clothes or that the smell would be too strong, but neither was true. I love to find other such recycled items to buy!

I really love the uniqueness and style of this purse! I agree with other reviewers that the purse had a rubberish odor when it first arrived, but I don't smell it any more (3 weeks) or I got used to it. It's a nice size and fits on my shoulder nicely. The red flowers add a nice burst of color, and I like how it coordinates with the inside color. It seems like being made of rubber that it will be durable, and so far so good. But time will tell on that. I also like how it sits squarely on a surface. It doesn't flop over and seems solid.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Overall, the quality is very nice. Some of the rubber pieces around the flower cutouts are not glued down perfectly, but it hasn't affected my use of the purse. I could glue them back down if they become bothersome.

I absolutely love this purse. It's better than I expected. I have only noticed a smell if I put my nose on it and sniff it. The inside is nicely made, and although other reviews were right about the inside pocket being a bit small, it's a minor thing. I'm tempted to buy another one as a backup.

I don't buy leather for personal reasons so it's difficult to find stylish, sturdy handbags. I particularly liked that this was fair trade and made from recycled materials, as I do try to be supportive of both efforts. There was an initial distinctive tire odor, but this dissipated with time. This bag is unique, is nicely constructed, and has a bold red interior fabric that makes me smile each time I reach for something inside. There is a zippered pocket and slot for your cell phone. People often ask me where it was purchased, and of course I delight in telling them it was made from recycled tires and bought from this website. Have had only positive experiences with O.com thus far...
