Recycled Plastic Redwine Highstreet Handbag (India)

I figured I would write a review since no one has yet. I'm sending the purse back, but it may be rigfht for you. Color: it's very close to the pictures. The straps are exactly the same color, a rich, dark brown, and most of the purse has the wine tones in it. However I believe the body of each bag will vary. Mine had more light pink tones in the bottom section (about 15-20% of the bag) which contrasted too much with the dark tones on the rest of the bag. I would have prefered all wine/purple/brown tones, but I"m assuming the color will vary due to the fact that it's constructed of plastic bags. Structure/feel: While the straps are simliar to a belt, medium thickness, leather-like, and pliable, the body of the bag is much more structured and stiff. It looks less waxy than it feels-you have to get close to it to see it's plastic-but the outside reminded me of a candle or those wax lips you can get at toy stores. I'm sending it back because it was too stiff, and I am worried that the outside will get scratched too easily. Room: I'm a big purse kind of girl usually, so it's a little small, but probably perfect for most. I could fit my wallet, cosmetic purse, keys, brush, pens/pencils, cell phone and several other small items in there. Straps: one note on this, while they were nice, with just enough structure and an almost leather-like feel, they were a bit short for me. I like my purses to fall close to the lower portion of my waist/upper hips, and with this purse, the top of it hits about upper chest level, maybe two inches from my collarbone, and goes to end of my ribs, or about three or four inches above my waist. I'm 5'7" so you have a reference. So, overall, it's a cute purse with a unique design, nice coloring, and interesting details, but the plastic is just not for me.
