Story Behind the Art:
Born of a desire to reduce India's mountain of waste, improve energy efficiency and help some of Delhi's poorest out of the city's slums, Conserve India achieves all this by turning plastic bags into high fashion. Today Conserve India employs and trains hundreds of people from Delhi's most disadvantaged communities to clear their streets of the plague of plastic bag waste. Once the waste bags are turned into HRP products they are sold for profits which can be spent in those same communities on education and welfare programmes. By buying a Conserve bag, belt, wallet, shoe or necklace you not only get to be a trend setter with a beautiful funky piece of high fashion, but you will also be helping some of India's poorest people and its environment.

Liked the fact that it is different from any other mat bags. If I accidently leave it at the gym, easily identified. The one down side is that unlike a lot of the fabric bags, there is no pocket for my cell phone & keys that I usually take into the studio.

Love this bag!
I ordered this bag for my yoga mat. It's such a cool bag and the concept of how it's made is even cooler. The bag is bigger than your standard size yoga mat but that's a good thing because you can also put your water bottle and towel in with your mat.

This bag is beautiful and functional. The first time I used it several people were impressed especially with its uniqueness. The fact that it is a Fair Trade item and also made from recycled material are pluses.

Beautiful bag!
I really like this bag. It fits my mat, bikram towel, and hand towel no problem. The over the shoulder strap makes it easy to carry to and from class on my bike. Only qualm is that it doesn't fit well in the cubby of the studio I go to. Also, when it arrived it was stuffed with newsprint from India which I thought was pretty cool.

I really like this colorful and yet "green" yoga mat bag. Already received compliments at my yoga studio. Love that it is made of recycled material. It has a slightly crinkly quality which gives it character. I'm very happy with it and as always with Overstock, fast shipping and unsurpassed service.
