Artisan Story:

Dina Pancahua, an award-winning artisan whose ceramics have been part of art expositions for many years, comes from a family of artisans and has been working with pottery since she was 28. She lives in Pisac, a town near Cuzco that is famous for its large number of artisans and open air market, and she works with her family in a workshop and a group of artisans under her supervision. Dina says, ?I combine my own designs with the traditional ones which come from the ancient time of the Incas. I want to express my art in different ways. Therefore I produce various ceramics, such as vases, nativity scenes, chess sets and other artistic pieces.
