Great product and corret selection. it really matched the room in which in installed it as a false ceiling. i had purchased 2 and it looks like an ancient temple ceiling.

I love this. I actually was in Thailand and wanted to buy one of these, but the shipping was too expensive. If you are looking for a flawless product, this is not it. You can definitely tell someone carved this by hand. All of the nooks and crannys aren't sanded down perfectly, and a portion of one of our panels has a bit of unperfect staining BUT this is what I love about it. That it is imperfect and looks hand carved and stained. It is beautiful! We have it in our dining room. There is a similar one I saw at Z Gallery, but it was twice as expensive. It was done perfectly, but that makes me think a machine carved it and not a person. It looked too cookie cutter perfect, so I really appreciate this one. it looks exactly like ones I saw people carving inThailand. I gave it 4 stars because it was a pain to hang. We put different hangers on each panel. It is always difficult to hang 4 pieces right next to oneanother perfectly.

This is actually four different panels, arriving in a fairly small box. The strange thing is that it seems that the four panels might have been made at separate times, with slightly different coloring and craftsmanship, but they fit together as one piece. The hanging of them involves two hangers for each panel, a total of 8 holes drilled, and if you don't drill the holes precisely then it doesn't hang right. But the hanging of it, as precise as it needs to be, is worth the result, which is something very unique. It almost looks like a heavy cloth piece from a distance. People have loved it when they've seen it, and the wood adds an earthiness to any room. The wood is heavy and the work and wax finish of high quality.

I got this piece to go over a huge blank space above my living room fireplace. We have really high ceilings and I needed something with a lot of presence. It is so unusual and beautiful - I had to call friends over to see it immediately! The item arrived quickly and is in excellent shape. I can't wait to see how it looks above the mantel - we move in 2 weeks!

Using this as an accent piece in a reception area of an office. Very substantial and rich looking piece. Hanging was straightforward as long as the weight was factored into the need for substantial support. Mine had a few areas that were broken in the design, but nothing very noticeable and actually gave it some "antique" character. Would recommend to anyone looking for something unusual, rich looking, and it being reclaimed is a plus for the green crowd.

I am so happy with this beautifully carved piece of art. I had seen one on an outdoor remodeling tv show and have been looking for one ever since. I'm thrilled to have found it at Overstock for this outstanding price and that it is reclaimed teak which will hold up well outdoors. You won't be dissapointed with this piece!
